Sad News Today

I have sad news today, my great Uncle Dick passed away today from complications following a stroke and pneumonia.  Uncle Dick is my Granddad McDreamy's older brother and the two of them are like two peas in a pod.  They both lost their wives within a year's span and supported one another through thick and thin.  I know my Granddad's heart is broken right now and I pray that God will give him an extra dose of peace and grace.  (I love you Granddad!)

I hadn't had the opportunity to spend much time with Uncle Dick, or get to know him until recently and I really wish I had more time with him.  He was a REMARKABLE man, intelligent, funny, strong, courageous, supportive and loving.  I feel blessed to have known him and will forever remember him with a smile.  May your journey home be blessed Uncle Dick.  I'll miss you.
